Lullabies to Paralyze is the fourth studio album by Queens of the Stone Age, released on March 21, 2005. Lullabies' elaborate credits show a small army of contributing musicians (including Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top), and unsurprisingly, bass and drums are less pronounced on Lullabies with the departure of Dave Grohl and Nick Oliveri. More than ever, QOTSA is a band devoted to the riff. Lullabies' songs often sound like a collection of riffs written individually and collected into songs.
