Sleater-Kinney - The Woods [2LP] (gatefold, etched side 4, download)

The Woods is the seventh studio album by the indie rock band Sleater-Kinney, the album was released in 2005. Much of the album was recorded live in the studio, as Dave Fridmann (Producer) consciously attempted to approximate the Band's live sound on the record. The vocals and some of the guitar tracks were the only overdubs. ''The Woods" is a much more riff-heavy affair, on this release and finds the band pushing their sonic/compositional boundaries, while maintaining their identity.
